Healthcare Assistants

Our healthcare assistants supports the Practice Nurse with daily work and carries out tasks such as blood pressure measurement and new patient checks, dressings, weight management and various disease management clinics. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Practice Management

The Practice Manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the Practice, such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The Practice Manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Reception

Receptionists provide an important link for the patients within the Practice. They can provide basic information and help with services. They can also direct you to the appropriate person to help depending on your health issue or query.

Community Nurses

There is a district nursing team attached to the Practice who provide home nursing services mostly for the housebound, elderly, chronically sick and people who have had recent operations. District nurse referrals are completed at the surgery and sent by fax to a central office. The district nurse team are not based here.
